happy new year!

We are back home in Pennsylvania after a 10 day trip to Chicago for the holidays.
Our life has been a whirlwind over the past week or so, and I am really looking forward to some down time to reflect on 2012 and look forward to 2013.
I am working on setting a few new year's resolutions, but I am keeping them simple and only focusing on things that really matter.  I am sure I will share them soon.

On New Year's Eve, my family was reflecting on the past year and someone posed the question: "when did you cry the hardest this past year?"
All of my family members responded, saying they had cried (as we all do),
but it was all over small things. sometimes even trivial and silly things.
(Mine had to do with PMSing...and we all know how that goes)....

all that to say: I found myself feeling so blessed to have had an entire year go by with only small frustrations and setbacks.  For the most part, 2012 was filled with joy and blessing, and for that I am forever thankful.  We aren't promised an easy road in this life and we don't know what lies ahead.  But 2012 will be marked as a year of deep happiness.

Here's to 2013!
